Cartographic Records

Archives staff can make copies of cartographic records that are in good condition and are free from copyright or other restrictions. We can copy maps to scale in either black and white or colour (prices vary).   Many maps are also available in microfiche format.

Please consult with Archives staff before you order copies of maps because their age, condition and quality may prevent copies being made, or may result in copies that are not as clear as the original. Our staff will try to advise you on the best option to choose when you order copies, but we cannot accept any responsibility for the final choice you make.

To order a copy of a map, complete the order form and, if you are requesting a reproduction for a reason other than research or personal use, the permissions form and fax or mail the form(s) to the Archives.

Note:   Do not send payment with your request.  Staff will check that a copy or reproduction can be made and will then contact you for payment.

For information about fees, see the price list.

All orders (research and commercial) for photos, film/video, maps and sound recordings currently take approximately 3-4 weeks from the date payment is received to complete.  Rush or expedited service is not available.
