Recorded Music

Our collection of recorded music includes unpublished recordings such as aboriginal music of the Pacific Northwest, collected by Ida Halpern and by Mildred Valley Thornton, as well as the Phil Thomas collection of British Columbia folk songs. We also hold numerous published recordings including phonographic records created by British Columbia musicians, composers, ensembles and studios dating from the 1950s through the 1980s.
