The database has been developed for research and public education. We hope that the information contained in this database promotes continued learning about the province of British Columbia.

We are constantly updating our information and data are refreshed every two months. We would also welcome suggestions by means of the email address below. Most fields are available for query through PUBLIC LOGIN.

In order to protect endangered species the precise information about where they have been found has been filtered from the query structure and all data tables. Qualified researchers may request special permission to access these data through the email address below and may then be provided with a USER LOGIN. We have also complied with the protection of privacy requirements of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act by not providing detailed information about third party donations to the museum.
