Mammals

Mammal Collection

The collection consists mainly of specimens from British Columbia. The collection has grown to about 18,000 specimens from 10,000 in 1980 when the first full-time mammal curator was hired. New preparation techniques have been adopted with a heavy emphasis on skeletons. The collection storage facilities were completely upgraded in the early 1990s and mammal collection data are now fully computerized.
