SERVICE NOTES
Hours
Commencing 13 October 2009 the following hours will be in effect:
MONDAY-FRIDAY 10AM-8PM (Full service 10-4, Partial service 4-8)
SATURDAY 1PM-5PM (Partial service only)
Researcher registration 10AM-4:30PM, Monday-Friday
Reproductions
Orders for photographs, films, videos, and sound recordings currently take approximately 3-4 weeks to complete from when payment is received. Rush or expedited service is not available.
Retrievals
As of 6 July 2009 retrieval of original items between 12 and 1 pm may not be possible. To assist researchers who can ONLY visit the Archives during that time, staff will accept requests by telephone (250-387-1952) between 10:00 and 11:30 on the day of the intended visit.
Researchers are reminded that the majority of our records are stored offsite, and many are restricted. Offsite records may take from 3 to 5 days to retrieve. Arranging access to restricted records can take up to several weeks. Researchers are encouraged to contact us well in advance of their visit to ensure access to requested records.
